Biography
I am the rheumatology site director at the Detroit VA hospital where I have worked for more than 19 years. Before my tenure at the VA, I worked and taught in the Wayne State Rheumatology Division for 12 years. I enjoy teaching routine clinical skills and especially like helping trainees learn how to have difficult and respectful conversations with patients.
Areas of Research
Treatment of rheumatologic illnesses in patients with multiple comorbidities, psychosocial determinants of health and seeking improvements in inter-personal communication in a clinical setting.
